PreK-Elementary

Arts integration is not an add-on: it's the foundation of how we teach and learn. Our six full-time teaching artists collaborate with classroom teachers to co-plan, co-teach, and co-assess units that deepen understanding through creative expression.

PreK-Elementary

PreK–K
Our early learners engage in play-based, developmentally appropriate learning experiences where foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development are cultivated through arts-integrated exploration.

Core Curriculum
• Literacy: Balanced literacy approach with phonics, shared reading, and oral language development.
• Math: Hands-on exploration of numbers, patterns, shapes, and measurement.
• Arts Integration: Daily music, movement, visual arts, and dramatic play.
• Social-Emotional Learning: Community circles, conflict resolution, and self-regulation skills.

Elementary (Grades 1–5)
Elementary students build strong academic foundations in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies through project-based learning units co-designed by teachers and teaching artists.

Core Curriculum
• English Language Arts: Comprehensive literacy instruction including reading, writing, speaking, and listening aligned to Maryland College and Career Ready Standards.
• Mathematics: Conceptual understanding and problem-solving aligned to state standards.
• Science: NGSS-aligned inquiry-based science instruction.
• Social Studies: Maryland and U.S. history, geography, civics, and economics.
• Arts Integration: Teaching artists co-teach units across all content areas.
