Enrollment now open for fall 2026!
Baltimore’s First Artist-Integrated Public Charter School. Opening Fall 2026 for grades PreK-8.
What Makes Dream Academy Different
1. Arts integration across all subjects: music, visual arts, dance, and theater enhance math, science, reading, and more
2. Experienced educators combining academic excellence with creative learning
3. A proven model that engages students and builds critical thinking skills
How Enrollment Works
Dream Academy is a community-designed conversion of Thomas Jefferson Elementary/Middle School and remains the neighborhood school for children living in West Hills, Hunting Ridge, Uplands, Ten Hills, Westgate, and Franklintown.
Seats are filled in the following order:
• Students zoned to Dream Academy (West Hills, Hunting Ridge, Uplands, Ten Hills, Westgate, Franklintown)
• Siblings of currently enrolled students
• Children of Dream Academy staff members who are Baltimore City residents
• Remaining seats by lottery, open to all Baltimore City residents
Tuition and Fees
Dream Academy is a free public charter school. There is no tuition. Breakfast, lunch, school supplies, arts materials, and field trips to Baltimore museums, theaters, and cultural sites are provided at no cost.
Uniforms
Students wear a uniform polo in their grade-level color (green for PK–5, purple for 6th, gray for 7th, black for 8th) with black or khaki bottoms. Uniforms with the official school logo must be purchased through the school’s approved uniform vendor; plain non-logo polos in the correct color are also accepted. Uniforms can be ordered at bit.ly/dreamuniform, with free delivery to the school.
Transportation
A corner-to-corner bus is available for elementary students. Families register at bit.ly/dreamacademybus. Transportation is not currently available for middle school students.
There are limited spots available in PreK–2nd grade. For all other grades, applicants will be placed on our waitlist, and we’ll reach out as seats become available.
