STRINGS PROGRAM
Dream Academy is the only elementary/middle school in the Baltimore City Public School System that still maintains an active string program. While other schools have discontinued their string programs, Dream Academy has remained committed to this offering because of our deep belief in the transformative power of music education. This makes our program unique and provides students with rare opportunities for instrumental development. Students in the Dream Academy String Ensemble learn skills of self-expression through the foundations of playing a string instrument and gain experience working in a collaborative manner while learning to play in ensemble with other students.
